Congratulations to Sofia (2023) who has her work displayed at Top Designs this year and recently attended the opening. Top Designs is an Annual Exhibition that showcases high quality VCE Designs from a range of subjects including Textiles. Sofia produced an educational garment used to explain the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly to primary students. The transformative outfit starts off as a dress mimicking the patterns of a caterpillar. This is followed by the building of a cocoon through a detachable skirt, and finally, the birth of the butterfly when the skirt flips and transforms into a cape, mimicking the wings of a butterfly. Thank you to Sofia's teacher Marta Pearson for her ongoing valuable contribution to the success of her students. ... See MoreSee Less

Space camp students have had the most amazing opportunities this week as they completed their astronaut training in Huntsville Alabama. So much is packed into the days that start at 7am and finish well past 9pm.
The students have experienced anti gravity chairs, multi rotational spins, scuba diving weightlessness, rocket building, team building activities, flight simulators, mission simulations and so much more. They have made friends from other countries and have almost perfected their American accents.
The week culminates with a graduation ceremony for all their efforts. The tour then will move onto Washington for some cultural experiences. ... See MoreSee Less
