We are very excited to announce that Class of 2007 past Star student and Star of the Sea College Physical Education staff member, Elle Bennetts, was selected by GWS to play in the first round of the AFLW series.
A high level netballer, Elle was invited to become a member of the Sydney team late in 2017 as a rookie before proving that she was determined, fit and skilled enough to play in Round 1 against Melbourne at Casey. Elle excelled, taking marks and tackling hard. It was easy to see that this has been a positive move for her; keep your eye on the No. 22 jersey.
We wish Elle well for the rest of the season and hope to see our Star students and staff cheering her on at many of her games!
